The bar

Here’s an photo of the bar with Olie Campbell playing guitar and singing at 2am in an attempt to coax some ghostly singing from the spirits.

A settee with rectangular table in front and chairs. Above the settee is a dart board and shelf. (There is a gnome in a rocking chair on the shelf.)
The back of the bar area where Tom slept and had the nightmare

Below is the view over to the bar from the area where Tom has his nightmare (and me with some ghosts.) Carl the barman is standing where Tom’s nightmare figure was standing. Tom’s nightmare happened before this picture was taken.

Equipment we used

Here’s an image of some of the equipment we used on the night.

There’s dowsing rods, herbs, a pendulum, a thermal imaging camera, kitten balls and UV torches.

A thermal image showing a man at the bar with his phone. He has his back to us and his head is white showing he is warm. The bottom of the image is blue showing the bar is cold.

  1. It’s always great to see photographs so thanks for sharing those.

I had a pair of metal dowsing rods, in the early 2000s as a recent graduate, and successfully used them to find keys in my flat 😀

  2. My dad, who designed houses for a living back in the 70’s and 80’s had me using divining rods from the age of 8/9 to find hidden water sources on surveys. My findings were extremely accurate and useful. However I had no idea what divining was or why I was doing it. I say this because of the suggestion that we might influence the outcome of the rods in some way. If you don’t know what they are or what they do, I’d assume this is less likely. Great episode this week and thank you.

  3. Congratulations on three years and 50 episodes Nat & Tess 🙂 I found Weird in the wade, when you were 6 or 7 episodes in, which I found just after Uncanny so well done, but when are we going to finally hear about the great Swan mystery LOL. All the best and keep up the good work.

  4. A teenager who’s parent run the pub in the 1960’s stables her pony in the shed at the bottom of the yard. The pony was called Gypsy and her name was Lyndsey Lipp ( not sure if this is spelt correctly). I was much younger at the time and used to ride out with her sometimes on my pony. You mentioned you felt the presence of an animal which triggered my memory.
