Weird Recommendations: Scotland Part Two

Mary Queen of Scots

Last night on BBC 2 there was a fascinating documentary about decoding lost letters from Mary Queen of Scots. The show provided a biography of the Scottish Queen along side the decoding mystery. If you like a bit of intrigue, scandal and puzzles then this is the programme for you

Spooky Scotland has a great blog post with a biography of the the Scotish Queen and a list of the places Mary Queen of Scots is said to haunt!

One place Mary’s ghost is not said to wander is at her birth place of Linlithgow Palace. But there are other spectres at the palace including Anne of Guise’s shade and that of Mary Tudor. It’s well worth a visit if you are ever that way in Scotland. The photo album linked to below contains pictures I took on a visit there a few years back.

More Tales of Possession this time from Scotland with Eerie Edinburgh

Yes Eerie Edinburgh is back with a bumper episode of Scottish posession stories for Halloween. You won’t want to miss these sensitively told but terrifying tales.
