The Future of Weird in the Wade: Important News!!!

Don’t worry Weird in the Wade isn’t being cancelled or anything like that 😀

But the podcast is going to take a short break in September, which means the next episode of Weird in the Wade will be released just before Halloween in October 2025.

The exciting news is: From October 2025 Weird in the Wade is going to be released every 2 weeks!!! Double the episodes. You won’t have to wait as long between episodes. These fortnightly episodes will go out on the BBC in the UK and in the UK and everywhere else in the world on whereever you’re listening now, spotify, apple, pocketcasts, YouTube, you’ll still find Weird in the Wade there but just every 2 weeks instead of monthly. I’ll run fortnightly episodes until July and then take a short break over the summer.

There will be one other slight change though for those of you who listen on non BBC podcast apps. I will be introducing some advertising on the podcast episodes. Not a lot of adverts don’t worry, I hate it too when I hear loads of ads during my favourite shows. But there will be some adverts. Some will be for other spooky and history orientated podcasts, some more comercial. I’m working with an independent network of similar shows to make this happen.

But if you are in the UK you can listen to weird in the wade ad free on BBC Sounds.

And if you’re in the UK or anywhere else in the world you will be able to listen to all episodes of weird in the wade ad free on patreon by joining weird in the wade’s patreon for £3.50 a month.

I’ve thought long and hard about introducing adverts and in the end after 2 and half years it seems the right time to do this. It will help keep the podcast going including bringing you more frequent episodes.
