Green lumpy grass and mole hills leading to a pale concrete bridge. Next to the bridge there is a wooden stile. There is a tangle of winter trees on the right of the image along the side of the ditch that then goes under the bridge.

Murder Bridge

Very little is written online about the Murder Bridge story. But here’s some information from the We Love Potton facebook group.

There is a website about the three counties asylum.

A black and white image of the bridge with a tree trunk covered in ivy in front of it. There is a tangle of branches on the right. Beneath the bridge it is dark and there is a metal grill. Next to the bridge on the left there is a much older stone wall. Above the bridge is a metal railing.

Thomas Dun

Open grass common on the right there is wide shallow pool of water spreading out from a more narrow stream. There are a few scrubby tress and bushes. The sky above is blue with wispy white clouds.
The place where the stream is wide and children fished in the story.

Here’s a link to the book I used for the story of Thomas Dun.

On the right stone stairs with iron railings leading to a door. On the right a tunnel leading down to an open area. In that open area is a tall narrow building with a wooden door. A gold sign hangs from the building showing a person at a writing desk. There is an old fashioned lap too. Beyond that there is green leaves and a distant roof for a building. The sky is pale. Above the arch way is a sign in gold saying Lady Stairs Close.

The Royal Mile taken looking down hill and at dawn the sky is streaked with grey clouds and orange sky with pale blue too. The road is cobbled the pavement empty but for birds. There is a post box and some traffic lights. The buildings are tall and old and many have towers and turrets.

Image taken from a high vantage point looking down at a curved road with tall colourful buildings along them at least 5 or 6 stories tall. At the end of the street in a more open area there are old buildings. Beyond those the early morning sun is lighting up more rooves in the city.
