New episodes and how to support the podcast

A tall tree with a trunk that splits in two dominates the image. In front of the tree is a lawn and small ornamental trees pruned into mushroom shapes. Behind the tree are other smaller trees forming a wood. The light is hazy and the sky is a steely blue with wisps of white high cloud being lit from below by the newly risen sun.

Holiday and a Bedfordshire ghost story

I was on holiday last week not too far from my home, but over the other side of Bedfordshire at Wrest Park. The weather was gorgeous and we were staying in the old gardeners house which had lovely oval hobbit house type windows. Check out my instagram for pictures.

Whilst away I got up at 5 one morning and went for a walk with my camera and field recorder intending on recording a ghost story, associated with the house, as I walked. Unfortunately the field recorder although great at recording either surroundings or someone speaking is not necessarily great at doing both at the same time! But all was not lost, the bird song I recorded that morning came out beautifully and so once I was home I recorded the ghost story in the home studio and tomorrow (Monday 29th May) a mini episode is released of that ghost story set to my footsteps and birdsong.

I hope you enjoy listening to the story of the Grey Lady of Silsoe. You can listen wherever you get your podcasts or the show website has all the links.

Launching a Ko-fi page

I’ve been blown away by the interest and support for the podcast with only one full episode out and a bonus the show has had over 1300 downloads in a month! If you’d like to support the podcast there are a few ways you can.

Just liking, following or rating Weird in the Wade wherever you listen really helps other people find the podcast which is a big help for the show.

Following us on social media at twitter or instagram is another great way to find out more about the show, upcoming episodes and be part of the weird in the wade conversation.

I have also just set up a ko-fi page where I am raising funds to buy a lav mic, so I can go out into the field and record good quality audio for the podcast. If you are able to support the podcast that way then that would be absolutely brilliant. The price of just twenty coffees will get me a lav mic!

Again I wanted to thank every single one of you for listening and showing so much support for the podcast! You’re brilliant and remember keep it weird!
